What is so special about South West Brisbane Medical transport?
South West Brisbane Medical Transport is different becauseā¦

The transport is provided by Yellow Cabs' Silver Service vehicles.

Carers and children under 5, travel at half fare when accompanying a full fare paying passenger.

The transport takes passengers into the hospital grounds.

If you are in a wheelchair and cannot transfer, please advise the operator when booking and a suitable vehicle will be provided for you.

Wheelie walkers, walking aids and one suitcase for hospital admissions will be allowed. Again please advise the operator when booking for space allocation.

What days, what time?
The service runs Monday to Friday, 7am to 4pm.
Pickups operate on the hour, from 7am, 8am, 9am, 10am and 12noon. (example - your appointment is 9:30am at the PA - your pick up time from home would be 8am. Therefore you need to be dressed and ready by 8am)
Returns will operate on the hour, from 12noon, 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm. (example - you have finished your appointments and you are ready to return home, it is 1:15pm - you ring 13 6294, give the details and you will be scheduled in the 2pm return).
Please Note: an exact time of pickup and dropoff is not possible, as it depends on the number of people booked on your taxi.

How much will it cost?
The South West Brisbane Medical Transport will cost $4.00 each way for HACC eligible persons and $10.00 each way for non HACC eligible persons.
Carers and children under the age of five, travel at half fare when accompanying a full paying customer.

How to book...
You must first register for this service by phoning 3422 7999.
Once you have registered, bookings can then be made by 12noon the day prior to travel - Mon-Fri (for a Monday service - book on Friday).
Book early to avoid disapointment
Book on 13 62 94 and ask for the 'South West Brisbane Medical Transport Run'
